There’s a lot of talk about the 3-second attention span, but great content can persuade a few people to stick around a few moments longer and make a significant change or even a quick purchase.
Great content resonates with an audience and will buy more time and attention. I mean, look at you, you're still here. ... Right?
Here’s how excellent copy can help you command attention:
1. A compelling headline that promises a benefit, solves a problem or satisfies a need.
2. Clear messaging that talks directly and personally to a human being, not an anonymous segment.
3. Useful, shareable information in a user-friendly form that doesn't stick in the throat or test the brain too much.
4. One (yes, just one) unique truth that differentiates the brand product or promise.
5. A simple call-to-action that leads to an easy next step.
6. Great design that enhances the communication experience without obscuring the message.
Don't do any or all of the above, and you're doomed to the 3-second spiral of inattention. If you’re still reading, you just proved the point. If I lost you along the way, have fun on TikTok.
Let me know if this resonates with you.
